La Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) presentó las observaciones y recomendaciones de su visita de trabajo a Colombia, realizada del 8 al 10 de junio de 2021, en el marco del Paro Nacional.
Para la elaboración de este informe, la CIDH tomó en cuenta la información recibida antes, durante y después de la visita por parte de organizaciones de la sociedad civil, el Estado y otros sectores. También incluyó la información suministrada por más de 500 personas que brindaron su testimonio de manera individual o colectiva.
La Comisión señala que durante las protestas se presentaron varias violaciones de los derechos humanos relacionadas con el uso desproporcionado de la fuerza, violencia de género, violencia contra misiones médicas, irregularidades en traslados de personas, denuncias de desaparición y el uso de la asistencia militar de forma inadecuada, entre otros casos.
