El pasado 9, 10 y 11 de septiembre se llevó a cabo el primer encuentro presencial de nuestra Línea Defensa del Ambiente, Permanencia y Pervivencia del Territorio de la Red Nacional en Democracia y Paz (RNDP). Este encuentro fue realizado en el municipio de Fusagasugá con la participación de 25 distintas organizaciones miembros de la RNDP las cuales trabajan en torno a la lucha por el cuidado y defensa del ambiente y del territorio.
Este primer encuentro conjugó diferentes organizaciones sociales, productivas, socioambientales, académicas y culturales a lo largo del país. Realizando el análisis de las problemáticas socioambientales por regiones y a nivel nacional, se formularon acciones y próximos pasos de la línea, entre ellos un comunicado colectivo. Este pronunciamiento apoya a diferentes organizaciones sociales, productivas, socioambientales, académicas y culturales del Sur-Oeste Antioqueño que exhortan a la Agencia Nacional de Licencias Ambientales (ANLA) a no otorgar el licenciamiento ambiental solicitado por la multinacional Anglogold Ashanti para desarrollar el proyecto de explotación minera Quebradona, ubicado en el municipio de Jericó (véase aquí: COMUNICADO).
