Una de las actividades de la agenda de nuestro encuentro del Nodo Caribe fue el taller “Curules de Paz: una oportunidad electoral para la construcción de paz en el Caribe” que se desarrolló en la ciudad de Cartagena y estuvo a cargo de la Misión de Apoyo al Proceso de Paz de de la Organización de Estados Americanos (MAP OEA). Este fue un espacio abierto por la RNDP para las organizaciones sociales del Caribe.
Durante este taller se resolvieron dudas frente a diferentes temas como el proceso de inscripción, las candidaturas y la campaña electoral, entre otras. Además, se resaltó la importancia de la veeduría ciudadana de la mano de las organizaciones sociales en este proceso electoral, para garantizar su participación y prevenir la corrupción.
Por último, es importante mencionar que esta es una nueva oportunidad para que se fortalezca y se incremente la participación de las mujeres en espacios de decisión.
